Introducing the Orchid, Magnolia and Camellia

Ranges by Pegasus Textiles

Pegasus Group originally started out as a supplier of textiles to the hospitality industry. Although we’ve since expanded into offering a wide variety of different products, textiles are still a mainstay of our catalogue and a core focus of our business, as our manufacturing know-how and commitment to quality have enabled us to become one of the leading textile suppliers in the UK. Designed and manufactured by ourselves, our textiles combine high-quality materials, top-notch manufacturing expertise and competitive prices. This article will give a brief overview of the Pegasus bedding and table linen ranges, helping you choose the ones that are right for you.

Pegasus Textiles Bed Linen

Choosing the right bed linen can really make a difference. Factors such as material, thread count and durability, as well as budget, are all important things to consider when deciding which bedding is right for you. Pegasus bed linen is manufactured by ourselves to market-leading standards: it’s soft, comfortable and designed to last wash after wash with only minimal shrinkage. We use only the highest-quality materials in order to provide a luxurious feel and quality finish worthy of the best hotels.

  • Magnolia T130

Woven from a 70/30 mix of high-quality cotton and polyester, our Magnolia range features a matching sheet, duvet and pillowcase set. With a thread count of 130, they come in a classic white colour that’s mercerised and calendared for a lustrous finish.

  • Camellia T200

Our Camellia range features a matching sheet and duvet cover woven from 100% pure cotton. Crisp white in colour with a thread count of 200, Camellia’s lush softness makes it a popular line that’s used in 4- and 5-star hotels across the nation.

Pegasus Textiles Table Linen

High-quality table linen can create a refined atmosphere that will truly elevate the dining experience. Designed with style and quality in mind, our best-selling Orchid table linen will bring class and ambiance to your dinner table. Each range under the Orchid banner features elegant tablecloths in a wide selection of sizes, along with matching napkins. Every single piece undergoes a rigorous manual inspection process, ensuring quality is never compromised.

  • Orchid 100% Polyester

Add a dash of vibrant colour to your dining room with our innovative range of 237gsm polyester tablecloths and napkins, available in 15 fade-resistant solid colours. They’re woven from 100% Murata jet-spun polyester, which has the feel of cotton but offers numerous advantages including better colour retention, higher durability and a shorter drying time.

  • Orchid 100% Cotton

Classic white with a chic feel, our cotton tablecloths and napkins are ideal for all manner of formal occasions. Woven from 100% pure cotton with an elegant satin band, they’re available in both 200gsm and 215gsm. The 215gsm range features two-fold yarns in both the warp and weft, as well as a mercerised satin finish which gives strength and lustre to the fabric.

We are elated to officially announce a significant milestone in our journey towards environmental sustainability - the first dispatch from our UpCycle Programme at Pegasus World! This landmark achievement is brought to life in our video showcase that takes you behind the scenes into our programme dedicated to supporting the circular economy. We transform end-of-life linens and towels, which would have ended up in landfills, into valuable resources. Our UpCycle Programme is a direct representation of our unwavering commitment to environmental conservation. We are now not only reducing waste, but also efficiently utilizing our natural resources - thus promoting a more sustainable future. However, the benefits of participating in our UpCycle Programme go beyond just contributing to a healthier planet. Companies that join us in this program receive a double wicket win: Firstly, we eliminate the costs associated with disposing of end-of-life linen and towels. Secondly, we bolster their reputation by enabling them to demonstrate a commitment to environmental sustainability. We believe this is a massive stride forward, but we’re not stopping here. This is just the beginning of our continued commitment towards paving the road towards a sustainable, socially responsible future. We are in this together, and together, we can and will make a difference. Stay tuned for more updates on our sustainability and social responsibility journey.

Living up to true sustainability and commitment to the environment, this programme invites you, our valued customers, to take part in a dynamic mission that's changing how we think about end-of-life linen and towels. With an ambitious goal to reduce waste and foster responsible consumption, the Upcycle Programme transforms what would have initially ended up in a landfill into a valuable resource, thus playing an integral part in propelling the circular economy.

It’s almost the weekend, and that means it’s time to put your feet up and wind down with a few fun, quick-fire questions. This ‘Time Out’ features Ivan Zhou, owner and CEO of Leeds-based Pegasus World, one of the fastest growing textile and real estate companies in Yorkshire. What is the first thing you do to get the weekend started? On Friday evening, it’s a trip into Leeds from our HQ at Logic Leeds business park, about 20 minutes from the city centre. My usual destination is a great steakhouse like Gaucho. If my weekend starts on a Saturday, then a brilliant British breakfast at Plonkers Bistro in Cumberland Street, York, hits the perfect spot. Then I’m ready for whatever the weekend throws at me. What is your hobby? I can’t really say work, can I? I try to switch off if I can, but it’s not always possible. Golf, travel, and jogging are my three favourite pastimes away from the day job. I also enjoy walking my dog Lily, a Japanese Akita. What is your favourite movie? That’s a difficult one, but I love Forrest Gump, the story of a simple man at the centre of some of the most exciting years in US history. Tom Hanks is superb in the title role.

We donated 10,000 face masks alongside other items of PPE to two local charities. Pegasus World has supplied York Foodbank with 6000 disposable face masks as well as almost 200 sanitisers, including hand sanitisers, dispensers, and sanitiser wipes of different sizes. The company, which was established in York in 2006, has also donated more than 4000 disposable masks and almost 200 sanitisers to the Salvation Army in York. And they have supplied The NHS at Millfield Surgery in Easingwold, North Yorkshire, with 4000 disposable face masks. Said Pegasus Operations Director Martin Doyle: "Pegasus is proud to be in a position to be able to give something to those in need in these uncertain times. "We have reached out to a number of organisations and donated protective equipment and products to help them to continue to keep themselves and others safe." The company - whose head office is in Outgang Lane, Osbaldwick - has also delivered supplies of PPE to two educational institutions, St Peter's School in York and CAPA College in Wakefield which focuses on creative and performing arts. "We want to help to help keep the community safe and as well as helping charities and the NHS, we have donated to two educational institutions with which we have connections," said Ivan Zhou, the Company CEO. Pegasus World, which established itself across the UK in the busy work wear market supplying the hospitality sector, has this year expanded to supply PPE across the UK. Earlier this year the company introduced a new range of cleaning hygiene and PPE. Its products now include face masks, face shields, sanitisers and dispensers, gloves, sanitiser wipes, aprons, infra red thermometers, cleaning stations and cleaning cloths. "We began to manufacture and sell PPE in April 2020 after the pandemic caused a massive slow-down in our core business of textiles wholesale," said Ivan. York Food Bank wrote on lnstagram "Thank you to our friends at Pegasus." Major Andrew Dunkinson, of York Salvation Army, said: "We are planning on distributing the hand sanitiser as part of a selection of other items, to our elderly and vulnerable guests who we will be visiting on Christmas Eve/Christmas morning."
